Have you ever been around someone who’s faking a phone call (or seems to be?)
Like, they’re holding the phone up to their ear and talking, pausing, talking, but somehow the rhythm or the flow of the conversation seems “off”? My roommate does this at least twice a night. First of all, it’s bizarre to me that someone wouldn’t walk into another room to have a conversation (I get really nervous on the phone and need to focus, no matter how innocuous or commonplace the topic). Secondly, it just - I have an iPhone, dude. I know how they work. I can tell by how bright your screen is reflected in your face whether or not you’re in your contacts/phone or just looking at your home screen (at least, I think I can tell). And also, seriously, why? What are you trying to demonstrate to me? Your popularity? Your wisdom? Your travails?
Anyway the other night he was in the middle of a conversation when his phone started ringing. I snorted. I’m hoping after that incident he won’t try to fake it anymore.
People are so fucking weird.

I knew a guy like this and yeah, the ringing while he was “on a call” busted him to everyone in the room. Hilarious but mostly weird.
